Here's my piece for the banner contest over at SNK-Capcom.com
It had to fit the themes:
Blood
Heart
Love
I thought I'd try something different than my usual style and try a painting style approach. Fiddled aroun with it for Yonks.
It's a scene from Udon's Street Fighter comic where theres a brawl at Ken and Eliza's engagement party. Vega takes revenge for the beating Ken gave him in issue 3.

Vega seems so menacing in this picture. You can't read his expression because of the mask. The blood trail and the dripping on his claw adds to the fear. Eliza is crying and is frightened. Ken still has a determined look on his face to keep fighting to protect Eliza, even though he's injured. It's very atmospheric. You can almost feel the weighted tension, lol. I like that the room has dark colors with shadows as Vega comes in from the light source. It also somewhat reminds me (or harkens back to) of Vega's battle with Chun-Li from the SFII Animated Movie. Great pic here!
